While visiting Red Rock Canyon during my Mom’s recent visit to Las Vegas, we found out firsthand that there are still wild donkey’s roaming throughout the park. In spite of signs advising visitors to not feed the donkeys for their own safety and that of the animal’s, people were holding out food for them as well as running to get their pictures taken with them. For the most part, the donkeys seemed to be pretty at ease with their company and were content to meander down the paved roads in and out of the slow-moving traffic. For all the hustle-and-bustle of living in Las Vegas, it’s interesting just how wild the environment can get 30 minutes outside of the city.
