While walking through the Rio Hotel’s convention center, site of the 2006 World Series of Poker, I came across the main room and this line of card dealers at the ready. Though I timed my visit somewhat unfortunately due to the fact that there were only two tables actually playing, with most of the big-name players taking a break, it was still interesting to see the scale of the event. The room was huge, with what had to be hundreds of tables. Given the increasing popularity of poker in recent years, I can imagine that the event will soon be seeking even larger digs.
